Please read these terms and conditions thoroughly before making a purchase, if you have any questions please contact me first.
These terms and conditions shall govern the sale and purchase of products through my website.
You will be asked to give agreement to these terms and conditions before you place an order on my website.
This document does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer such as rights under the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Interpretation
In these terms and conditions “we”, “I”, “me” and “my” means Suzanne Curtis Textile Artist/Suzanne Curtis Textile Art and “you” means our customer or prospective customer and “us”, “our” and “your” should be construed accordingly.
Making a purchase
To enter into a contract through my website and purchase products from me you must add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping cart. The method of delivery and cost of delivery is pre-set as it is set to cover the cost of your order should it become lost in the mail system. Some of my work takes many hours to make and I am not prepared to send it flat rate. The method of delivery and cost of delivery is visible in your shopping cart before you checkout.
To be eligible to purchase products on this website and lawfully enter into and form contracts with me you must be 18 years or over, be legally capable of entering into a binding contract and be able to provide the full details of your address as is necessary for the delivery of the products ordered.
If you are under 18 you may only use the website in conjunction with and under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You may not use the website if you do not qualify.
Suzanne Curtis Textile Art products are not toys and are not suitable for young children. Items such as the Sewing Wraps contain pins and needles and must not be accessible to young children.
Products and Prices
All my products are handmade, mostly using vintage, antique and reclaimed materials and may therefore have imperfections and wear that have occurred through the life of those materials. This adds to its charm and individuality. Please contact me should you have any questions regarding this before purchasing.
Whilst I try and ensure that all the information on my website is accurate, errors may occur, in the unlikely event that the price and/or description of an item listed on the website has been incorrectly advertised, I will not be under any obligation to sell or provide those goods and services to you.
If I discover the error before sending you a confirmation I will at my discretion, either reject your order and notify you of such rejection, or inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of cancelling your order or reconfirming it at the correct price and/or description.
If I give you the option of cancelling your order or reconfirming it at the correct price and/or description but have not been able contact you or do not receive your response within 14 days of sending you notification (whether or not you receive it), I will be forced to reject your order.
If I discover the error after sending you a confirmation I may, at my discretion and without incurring any liability to you, cancel the contract provided that the error is, in my reasonable opinion, obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognised by you. I will notify you if I cancel the contract.
If your order is cancelled or rejected and you have already paid for the products, you will receive a full refund.
Suzanne Curtis Textile Art products are not toys and are not suitable for young children. Items such as the Sewing Wraps contain pins and needles and occasional scissors form part of my products and must not be accessible to young children.
Payments
Payments may be made by any of the permitted methods specified on my website.
Shipping and Delivery
COVID-19
I am still sending out orders as per my usual dispatch times stated below of 1-3 working days. However it is possible that the current situation may mean that orders take slightly longer than usual to pass through the postal system, I ask for your patience during this challenging period.
Orders are usually dispatched within 1-3 working days of receiving them, at busy times this could be up to a maximum of 5 working days of the order being placed. In the unlikely event that your order is delayed beyond this period I will contact you to explain and give an alternative dispatch time or the option to cancel your order.
As stated above (Making a Purchase) the delivery cost and method is pre-set.
All orders are sent using Royal Mail within and from the UK, for overseas orders once outside the UK the shipping is handled by a third-party carrier. I am not responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. It is your responsibility to pay these.
Please note that when shipping products internationally, you should be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined. I will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.
I am happy to ship to all of the countries in the drop down menu you will see at checkout.
I am not responsible for your order not reaching you if you enter incorrect address details. If you enter an incorrect address I will not give a replacement or refund the item. If the item is returned, and you would like me to resend it, you will be responsible for the new shipping costs.
Guarantees and warranties
Due to the nature of my work and the sometimes fragile materials used I offer no guarantees or warranties. My work is largely decorative and if wear or damage has been caused by mis-use or mis-handling then I am not responsible and will not replace it or refund the value of the item. For instance brooches must be removed from clothing prior the washing the clothing, I am not responsible for deterioration of said brooch if it has been put into the washing machine/process.
I have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of my products that appear in my shop/website. I cannot guarantee that your computer monitors display of these colours will be accurate. I have made every effort to display and feature items as accurately as possible.
Returns and Refunds
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you must contact me within 14 days of receipt. I will give a full refund provided that the goods are returned in the condition sent, undamaged and in their original packaging. I am not responsible for return postage, I do not refund the return postage and advise that items are returned by recorded delivery to ensure they reach me as refunds can only be given on goods received by me.
Bespoke and personalised orders cannot be not refunded.
I want you to be happy with your purchase so if for any reason you are not then please contact me to discuss as a solution may be sought.
Please check your order when you receive it, damaged items can be returned, imperfections in the vintage materials used (stated above in Products and Prices) and loose threads as are explained in the item description are not considered damage. Please notify me within 14 days of receipt, and I will endeavour to replace where possible or a full refund given. After this time I have no liability for goods said to be damaged on delivery. I cannot exchange or refund customer damaged items. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Limitation of Liability
My liability is limited to direct damages (which could not be avoided by breaching the contract), I am not liable for any indirect damages that may occur through breach of this contract.
Intellectual Property Rights
Whilst the creation of handmade textile/mixed media items is obviously not exclusive to myself (me) the designs, copyright and intellectual property in my designs, products, images and photos are the property of Suzanne Curtis Textile Artist/Suzanne Curtis Textile Art. I will treat and infringement of these rights very seriously. Do not copy my work, I try hard to make my work different from others and this is my business, not a hobby, and my only form of income.
The total contents of this website are owned by Suzanne Curtis Textile Artist/Suzanne Curtis Textile Art and may not be reproduced in whole or part for any commercial purpose without written permission. The copyright of the website is owned by Suzanne Curtis Artist/Suzanne Curtis Textile Art and you may not alter or make any additions to it or post any information on it.
Future Changes
I reserve the right to revise and amend the Website, my disclaimers and these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you. Your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) following a change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of those changes. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether I have changed these Conditions.
Certain content, products or services available via this website may include materials from third parties. Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with me. I am not responsible for examining or evaluating their content and accuracy and I will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, product and services of third-parties.
I am not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods services and resource, content or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. It is your responsibility to review the third parties policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Any issues, complaints, claims and concerns regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of for example), if you contact me directly.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
- as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
- when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time;

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

I do not store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions.
